Why breathing calms you down
When you're stressed, your breath goes shallow and quick. The good news: it works the other way too. Deliberately slowing your breath is one of the fastest ways to tell your body it's safe to relax.
The exhale is the switch
A long, slow out-breath activates the parasympathetic nervous system — the "rest and digest" side. That's why breathing patterns with a longer exhale (like 4 in, 7 hold, 8 out) feel so settling: they gently shift you out of fight-or-flight.
Just one minute
You don't need a long session. Open Breathe, follow the bubble for sixty seconds, and notice your shoulders drop. It's a reset you can do between meetings, before sleep, or any time the day gets loud.
